• The Exhaust Deflector directs exhaust gases 30⁰ upwards from the tips of the exhaust ejectors.
• Deflecting exhaust gases upwards results in many advantages for the helicopter operator:
  • Lower temperatures on the tailboom bonded panels.
  • Reduced temperatures at the No. 3 drive shaft bearing location.
  • Less damage to tailboom paint finish.
  • Significant reduction in soot deposits on tailboom.
• The installation of Alpine Aerotech’s Exhaust Deflectors drops temperatures approximately 43.3⁰ C (110⁰F).
